I'm just a typical housewife... Hubby Larry and I will be celebrating our 40th (GASP!) Wedding Anniversary next year on June 21st (the longest day of the year -- and boy, was it! LOL!!). We have a 24 yr old son, Zachary, whom we adopted at 4 mos from Korea. Long story, but we have great reason to believe he is part Native American...I was/am a "certified" Native American Beadwork & Crafts Roster Artist/Teacher by the Illinois Arts Council. I primarily limit myself to commissions now. I rarely do any "craft or pow-wow sales" anymore, but occasionally teach. I used to "team-teach" with my younger sister Dawn. We held classes at schools, scouting, summer camps, historical reenactments, and our own classes, as well as privately. We taught students from 3 yrs old all the way up to 93 yrs young!Unbelieveably, and certainly "out of my realm" of Native American Beadwork and Crafts, I have started to make "Wedding Gift Card Boxes!" It all began about 3 years ago for my favorite niece's wedding. I was inspired by her "Cinderella/Princess" theme, and it blossomed from there!
