This site was inspired by a newly formed band I've joined, which got me back into writing songs again (after 20+ years!) plus I was made to do it by my step daughter Abi!! Over year later I have had several songs played on the BBC performing with my good friend Tony Frost as the "The TnT EFFECT!" as well as the band and loving it!
The band is called "Hippy Tart Heroes" who do new and old with a leaning towards the classic punk era of the late seventies.
The band is me on Lead vocals, bass, Steve Strickland, guitars Bill Deveney and on Drums my best mate Russell Gwynne.
We are always updating our set that we hope is bringing a new edge to the local music scene, with a few surprises thrown in, including some of my own songs Ive written for the band, which don't always get picked by the band, but I still write them anyway and now other people/bands sing them (and some generally downright filthy!) songs written when I was one half of duo, Bombhead and Bugsy.

On a personal front this site will initially house my own recordings with Tony , plus a few song written for the band. We will be starting a Hippy Tart Hero web site, whereby the bands songs will be on there and I will just keep my stuff on here. We have a myspace/hippytartheroes1 underway
Words and music are all my own with the expert arrangement from my old mate Tony Frost who has laid down much of my stuff including the early Bombhead and Bugsy songs I did years ago (early 80s) with one of my oldest and "other best mate" Al Wilson.

As this is a bio, I was briefly in the Booze Brothers, a Blues Brothers act with my best mate Russ......it was great the few times we did it! Singing and dancing is very tough. Plus Al, Russ and I are founder members of the band "SOD THAT" with their one and only worldwide hit "If i was not upon the sea!"

As the weeks go by more stuff will go on this site, with a mixed genre you will never get on any other site......thats a given!
