Michael

Once you start me up, I never stop.

About Me

I've successfully managed to dress myself for 24 years without lighting myself on fire *once*.
I'm so proud.

My Interests

Pretty much anything that's shiny and makes a whirring noise. Reading. Art. Smoking P-funks. Writing. Cooking. Sexytime.

I'd like to meet:

"Where the mind is without fear and the head held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by Thee into ever-widening thought and action;
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake."
- Rabindranath Tagore
I WANT TO MEET THIS CAT. THIS IS ITS WORLD, WE JUST LIVE IN IT:

If you don't feel like this at least once a day, you're not doing something right.

C.P. O.G.s
..

Music:

Currently Devouring: The Roots - Game Theory, Jurassic 5 - Feedback, The Shins - Oh Inverted World and Chutes Too Narrow. I don't discriminate in my musical tastes. I like to look for the things I enjoy in musical genres instead of saying I don't like this or that. Yes, that includes country. I have a particular affinity for classic rock right now because I'm learning to play guitar. I also like hip-hop because, let's face it, I'm gangster.

Movies:

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Anything by Kubrick or Hitchcock or that stars John Cusack. Waking Life, Equillibrium, The Godfather Trilogy, Battle Royale, Aliens

Television:

Battlestar. Fucking. Galactica. I don't have cable, so I have to catch up on shows via *ahem* other methods.

Books:

The Sandman, Neverwhere and American Gods. The Dark Tower series. 1984, A Clockwork Orange, Slaughterhouse Five, Candide, On the Road, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Catch 22, Shakespeare, The Ender's Game series, and heaps more. Why is loving Catcher in the Rye and Perks of Being a Wallflower almost a requirement on these sites? FUCK THOSE BOOKS.

Heroes:

My family - all 342,686 members of them. :P Anyone who's endured hardship and come out on top. Batman. Sherlock Holmes. Volunteers. Artists.
