About Me

Hi Everybody!
My name is Indica Jones, but you can call me Indy :-)
I live with my master in a small town called Ridgecrest.
For fun I enjoy going for long walks, chasing rabbits, and pawing through the trash.
I'm not a picky eater, my biggest weakness is chocolate; even though Mike doesn't give me any, the smell drives me wild! I guess you could say I'm just a typical girl.
I know this thing says I'm 32, that's in people years. I'm actually 4 & 1/2 years old.
NEW STUFF:
GlobalPetFinder - No more lost pets! The GlobalPetFinder device uses the Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and wireless technology to give you peace of mind with pet location updates every 2 seconds. It can be used wherever phone service is available and also has an advanced module that minimizes 'canopy effect', allowing it to be used even in heavily wooded areas. If for some reason the device is temporarily unable to get a satellite 'lock,' it will continue to search until it does, and you will know where your pet was last.

You can choose to have the location information sent to your mobile phone, pager, PDA or computer in text or map form, or sent to more than one person. You can set multiple boundaries from zero to hundreds of acres for your pet, which can be easily changed to suit your needs via the internet or the device itself and are password protected.GlobalPetFinder will fit onto ANY standard collar, harness or halter, and is absolutely harmless to the pet. GlobalPetFinder is protected by a sleek, hermetically sealed, water-resistant, extremely durable case.

The device operates on a rechargeable lithium ion battery similar to those used in a cell phone and is programmed to alert you when it is time to recharge. GPS satellite monitoring technology can be extended to track children or adults in crowded urban environments, and the Global PetFinder team have a number of patents applicable to human interaction awaiting release. The 7-ounce programmable receiver/transmitter based on the same basic pet collar technology can be hidden in a child's clothing (such as a hat or belt) or worn as a watch for hassle free use.

PetLoo – the backyard in a box

Naturally enough, the Pet Loo was invented by the owner of a dog, Simone Iglicki, who lives in an apartment with her two dogs and recognised the need for dogs to be able to ablute without the owners presence and attention. Simone decided to see if she could replicate the necessary aspects of a backyard indoors and after three years of experimentation, the PetLoo was born as a simulated natural environment.

The PetLoo box has a porous synthetic grass on the top, and an angled drainage solution underneath so that urine drains through and collects in a tray underneath for easy emptying by the owner. The plastic and turf have been treated so they don’t smell and the whole shebang can be washed in warm water so that pets don’t get turned off by chemicals and disinfectants.
The Pet Loo is a hygienic, convenient and environmentally friendly way to allow your pet to do its business without relying on you for an opportunity.Check out Simone’s web site and you’ll see she’s taken the market by storm in her native Australia (if the Australian media adores poo stories, it’s bound to be a success in the UK) and she’s now seeking international distributors.

Mobile Telephone for Pets!

PetsMobility Networks PetsCellular telephone for pets is a challenging concept. If at first glance, it seems incredibly frivolous to give an animal a cell phone, welcome to the 21 st century and the dawning of a new world of ubiquitous computing. At first glance it seems silly to wish to call an animal but the PetsCell is more a 2-way communication device that will also be available with an optional GPS tracking chip and a fibre optic camera for search and rescue applications. Accordingly, it will be able to track a pet's exact whereabouts and in the case of accident, enable the owner to speak directly with humans in the vicinity. There is no doubt a pet would be safer with this device in operation and pet owners will have the peace of mind that if their pet is lost and someone finds their pet wandering the streets, with a simple press of a button on the mobile device, the auto dial will dial the owners home alerting them to retrieve their pet.

GoDogGo! An automatic fetch machine!

March 8, 2006 The mechanisation of every facet of human life has finally trickled down to playing with the dog. Too busy to play fetch with Fido? No problem, just get your dog his own personal playmate with the GoDogGo mechanical ball launching device, aka the ultimate "Cainine Activity Sport".

Here's the pitch: Your dog's a big ball of energy and you're .... errr, not. But you can still give your pooch the exercise and playtime he deserves with GoDogGo. Just use the remote control to set the unit to your dog's own ability - set a launch distance from 15-30 feet and launch times every 7-15 seconds. You can even train your dog to put the balls back in the bucket for continuous play.
It looks just like a bucket on a mechanical loading platform, but this innovative device is something all dog owners have probably wished for at one time or another. If you want a closer look, or just like to watch dogs chasing balls, check out the quicktime clip of the GoDogGo in action .How to stop the neighbour's dog from barkingAugust 18, 2005 The bark stops here! Variety International announced today the long awaited release of their new pet product, the K9 Kalmer . This is the only anti-barking device on the market that does not use pain or irritation to alter a dog's behavior. What makes the device unique is that it uses proprietary ultrasonic musical compositions -- songs that are inaudible to humans to calm anxious pets. Specifically, the K9 Kalmer was designed to stop irritating dog barking. "Dog ownership in residential communities is at an all time high," claims company president Jim Wessling. "That translates to a high nuisance factor as it relates to dog barking and the disturbance of the peace and quiet we have come to cherish in our neighborhoods."

Dog-powered Scooter

June 6, 2005 This new concept in near zero emission transportation could be just what you’re looking for, though we suspect that parking might be a problem. Seriously though folks, if you have a big dog that often takes you for a walk, here’s a great way to harness all that energy and travel the bike paths of your city at the same time. The manufacturer and inventor Mark Schuette of Oregon claims the human is in total control of the speed and direction of the dog powered scooter because the dog is harnessed inside of the frame and subject to its steering (with 90 degree turns easy) and braking force.
