The band was formed in 2006. Until recently it appeared under the name Badchenes.Our inspiration is primarily a music of Jewish and Balkans culture, music that was created in Poland just before World War II. Despite these strong influences we do not avoid expanding our works on creative motifs drawn from other musical genres (jazz, latin or even club music). A distinctive feature of our music is strong influence of improvised music. Our works are mostly of our own composition having an open form what gives a huge opportunity to show off soloists.. skills. Due to such a perception of musical forms each member of the team has an integral influence on the composition. Working on the above, Sounds of Times takes the traditional music sound derived from pre-war Poland and converts it into the innovative tunes which, in fact, are more contemporary for us and our time.
