The Jimmy Joustra Quartet

About Me

The Jimmy Joustra Quartet is an offspring of many different mixes of musicians through the years. Starting early in 2001, the two founding members, Jimmy Joustra & Drew Azzinaro started a small jam group built from Lockport jazz and blues musicians. Through the years, both members have been in various bands including: Jam Band Experiment, Hamilton-Burr Project, and the very short lived Joustra/Azzinaro Duo and the Joustra/Azzinaro Trio.Currently, both members are working on material for an upcoming, self-titled release, while playing in various bands and projects. The combination of funk, jazz fusion, blues, and soul are the primary roots of the band itself, specifically drawing from Delta and Chicago Blues.
