D. Malcolm Anderson

About Me

Seattle grown Malcolm has played, recorded, and toured with various bands and projects out of Southern California and the West for many years, sharing the stage with bands like Sublime, Mother Hips, Leftover Salmon, The Bangles, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, moe., English Beat's Dave Wakeling, No Doubt, James Harmon, Animal Liberation Orchestra, Gluey Brothers, Mike Campbell's Dirty Knobs, Gary Hoey, Thomas Mapfumo, and many more. Besides being a busy sideman/band member for many artists, Malcolm's own compositions have shown up in extreme skiing films, performance theater, multimedia presentations, city art galleries, television commercials, and indi films over the years. Starting on piano at age six, his music went on to develop through formal training and eventually adding guitar to his palette. A move to L.A. in 1992 was the segue to over a decade of gigging, writing, and recording - based out of Santa Barbara.
