To Whom It May Concern,Approximately eight years ago,
Israeli Court decided to liquidate existence of " Zionist association Maccabi Jaffa ", association which founded in 1949 by the immigrants from Bulgaria as continuation of " Maccabi Bulgaria ", her sumptuous association that carried proudly the culture of Jewish Bulgaria Organization
also in the period of the holocaust and the Nazi occupation.
Maccabi Jaffa was to the famous name in the annals of the Israeli sport and is reputed as of this date to one of the most valued and sympathetic associations by the Israeli public.
To the fact that the team represented community and southward of the city Tel Aviv was principled, educational and national importance.
The team’s singularity,by embracing the population of Jaffa, Jews and Arabs as one, had a great educational message.
In the recent months,
sympathizers of the team,that eight years remained lacking identity,decided to establish a new team that will try to qualify to the top of the Israeli football again,with the good and old spirit of the historical Maccabi Jaffa.
The team has registered as fellowship in the registry of fellowships by name of Kabilio Jaffa,and now is in registration process in the Israeli Football Association,and in next season of games,will play in league C,Tel Aviv County.
The team is called on name of the late goalkeeper of Maccabi Jaffa, Hertzel Kabilio, that died 22 years ago at the age of 36 from cancer.
In order to help establish the club,the fans have the possibility to contribute monies and to acquire right of element in the management of the fellowship in exchange for amount of minimum of 1,000 shekels.
Up to here were collected about 150 thousand shekels, although clearly, an establishment of club of football in Israel and investment in his betterment and his advancement to centralize the stage, will cost great hundreds of thousands of shekels more.
It should be mentioned that there’s an intention of the association to open soon a youth and junior department that will serve the population of Jaffa not only in this athletic level ,but also in the educational level while emphasizing on excellence. It should be also mentioned , that recently , clubs of fans began to pop up in the branches of football and basketball. There is as such in order to defy to the inferior management that brought to the destruction of senior and honorable clubs and also giving of possibility to whom that has a matter in the advancement of sport,to establish sport associations managed according to law,order and principles.
The project of Maccabi " Kbilio " Jaffa gained a spectacular acceleration and urge of great matter amongst the media.
The antique phrase " Maccabi Jaffa talks " was never so relevant as it is today.
We will be happy if new forces join the project, in order that the phrase " Hyde Jaffa " will echo again throughout the city.
