About Me

hi everybody out there. I'm Chris and I'm from Germany. I just came back to Germany from an awesome exchange year in the US! I love music - I've been playing guitar for 10 years and just bought my 3rd (uhhmm well by now it's 4... lol) electric guitar. My style? The harder, the better. But don't confuse hard with trashy. Metallica and ACDC are good examples. for those of you how know things about guitars,my good one is an Ibanez RG1620XGK and if you're really fit then you'll know that this guitar isn't produced anymore - they updated it and now they call it RG1820XGK. I used to own two more guitars, but I had to sell them. So now I'm down to two acoustics and two electrics. Germans usually love soccer, and so do I, though I'm not on a team these days.Take the quiz:

My Interests

MUSIC!!! METAL!!! HARDROCK!!! FEEL IT!
Also computing, which means basically gaming. Soccer and annoying other people are also some of my main activities.
In Germany I used to volunteer in the Agency for Technical Relief, which is kind of like the FEMA or even an ordinary fire department on federal level. I think that's a good thing to do.
And I always love to try something new... so that i can say that i don't like it lol

I'd like to meet:

Basically everybody. Just talk to me.
Oh, but I'm especially interested in everybody who makes music in a more sophisticated way than slapping a spoon on his/her head or table or something.

Music:

Uhmm, hard to say... You could say I like everything between Classic Hard Rock and Speed Metal. To name some:
ACDC
Metallica
Guns N' Roses
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
Van Halen
Godsmack
I also like some of the songs by
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Eric Clapton
Steve Vai
Joe Satriani
I play most of the songs I like on the guitar, too (if they're not too difficult like Vai's or Satriani's are) and I don't have all their CDs, just picked the best songs... You can't say I'm freaking out about any of those bands. Okay, I don't want you to say it - if you know me, you might think that I am though.
What I definetly hate is Rap and Pop. Pop is not music or some kind of art - it's just a product to make money. And rap is not music in my eyes.

Movies:

well, I like comedy movies and Action movies like Beverly Hills Cop, which is like funny, too. I love Star Wars and Star Trek, though I guess i like Star Wars better. In general I like most Sci-Fi and Fantasy movies.
Here're some of my favorite movies:
Ocean's Eleven
All three Star Wars movies of the old Trilogy
Matrix
All three Lord Of The Rings (the first one was the best though)
School Of Rock (Jack Black is the KING!)
Enemy Of The State
Men in Black I & II
Saving Private Ryan
She Hate Me
there are many more I just can't think of right now though

Television:

Boring except maybe the Daily Show and South Park lolGerman TV is better, less commercials and free channels, so yeah

Books:

Huh, all the Harry Potter books (they are way better than the movies) Some Tom clancy books are quite cool, too. There are a lot of books I read that I can't remember the title of, but I do read a lot
Had to read The Bluest Eye and just finished To Kill A Mockingbird.

Heroes:

Albert Einstein, the best scientist ever on our beautiful planet

Mahatma Gandhi, who proved to the world that you can achieve great things without hurting anyone.

Angus Young, whose driving riffs, stunning solos and breath-taking on-stage performance rocked us from the 70s 'til today and yet he's not done blowing our minds
Bon Scott, whose voice and Backpipe solo in It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll) is unforgetable
Stevie Vai, Joe Satriani - whoever has seen them will understand that they're the living gods on the guitar
