Entertainment has been around music pretty much all of life, being brought up in a musical home. Cakez is the son of the lead singer of a local gospel group and the brother of one of the most promising young MC’s in the Midwest, so it only makes sense for him to make his mark on the scene. Since 2003 Cakez has been establishing himself as one of the most creative and risk taking producers on the local scene, with a blend of sampling and original composition. Finding inspiration from just about anything around him, Cakez aims to challenge the current trends in music that exist today with tracks that are sometimes difficult to categorize, but still have that swagger and bounce to makes hits.Cakez has provided musical backdrops for various local TV and Radio commercials over the past year and is preparing to have a busy year in 2006. In 2006 Cakez officially formed S.M.U.T. Entertainment in order to make his mark on the music scene. Cakez has produced for many Milwaukee artists such as: Big Nardo and Tha Community, J. Love of NUBY, KB of Fam 1st, Sose and etc., and is currently expanding his mark beyond the Midwest, on the west coast and creeping down south.
