The "Falling Apples" took many years for the tree to grow and the apples to fall. In the early 90's childhood friends Christian Botte and Salvatore Ocello both started the band "What Goes On", Playing covers of classic rock hits and b-sides. Over the next few years they began to change the songs with their own style of play and leave room to jam . They began to perform as a duo known as "Masked and Anonymous" and became the house band at KJ's Ale House from 2002-2004. It is here where they meet Russ Pfieffer. Russ would sit in and jam. In 2004 Christian Botte started to front the cover band "Decades". During the summer of 2006 Christian and Sal headed to Europe with a guitar, snare drum, and cymbal. They played in the streets for euros in Amsterdam, Nice, Prague, Munich, and Venice. In late 2006 they teamed up with Rob Carey and Frank Duffy and formed the super group "The Headlocks." By 2007 Christian and Sal went back to there roots and began playing as a duo again. Christian started writing all new original songs for the next phase of the band. On New Years Eve of 2007 Christian ran into an old friend Ramsey Nukho. Ramsey joined the band and it was an instant connection. So as the apple fell to mark 2008 , the "Falling Apples" started to rise. In May of 2008 Russ began playing bass for the "Falling Apples" and took the music to another level. Today the "Falling Apples" are working on a full set of all original music.
