Many long hours, sleepless nights, and countless amounts of glucose created the era of Bella Vertiá. Bella Vertiá is a non-profit organization dedicated to the awareness of injustice, global consumption, and community service. Bella Vertiá, meaning "Beautiful Truth" in Italian, was created in 2007 by "Phoenix" , and later composed of Ana B. and "Nyx Star" M. Bella Vertiá has helped countless amount of people and neighborhoods and are ready for what is also to come. The excitement from the team in creating new projects and fundraisers has allowed others to catch their eye and sponsor them. Bella Vertiá's first appearance came on think.mtv, where there are over 80 members and over 10 non-profit organizations. When asked about the number of new people onto the page, Phoenix simply stated "I really think we have a shot to do something big…its not all the time when you get alot of support to help the planet, you know, and I'm truly excited...I think we have a shot!" My Interests

I'd like to meet:

More on the Directors:

Phoenix:

Phoenix was Born in Albany, Georgia on January 31st, 1990 to Patrice Lewis and Michael Williams, and was raised in Atlanta, Ga from 2-18. Ever since the age of 2, Phoenix has been traveling the country, with her first trip being to California and then Maine with her dad. When questioned about her Traveling experience, Phoenix stated that "It was something I just did, I never had a time where I was not game for a trip across the country. I can defiantly say that I have been to every state almost twice, except Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Wyoming! (giggles); but those experiences helped make me who I am today, and I would not ever change them for the world- there just pure Bella! (giggles)". Phoenix has been helping out people since the age of 5 where she became apart of the 4-H club in Elementary and also the Art club. Her passion with the World helped spark a lot of new ideas that could help, but there were many obstacles in front of her path. "When I was younger, I always had a difficult time doing most of the things my peers did, mainly because of my mother's disability." Her mother, Patrice Lewis, is visually impaired and so are her uncles. "At times, it really became difficult, you know, because I had to learn how to read on my own, write on my own, and learn how to become independent and not have to depend on others for anything. (smiling) I would always get the question about her disability, but I don't see my mother as someone with a disability, but one with a altered talent and a truly magnificent heart!" Her Uncle, Anil Lewis, is also the President for the Atlanta Chapter of the National Federation Of the Blind. "OMG(Oh My Goodness)! Sometimes I hated being dragged to the meetings they had and sitting there with a lot of older people and listen to them talk for hours on what seemed like nothing!(laughs) but as I got older, I learned that this was something that they have to wake up with, go to school with, eat with and go to bed with, and I became very appreciative and quickly changed my perception of them".

It wasn't until High School at Miller Grove in Lithonia, Ga that she realized her passion in the World. "I was sitting in class one day and I decided to take an observation of my history class. As always, the popular kids sat together, the geeks and nerds together, and the gangster kids in their area. (laughs) then I look around me and saw my pencil, pen and books- I never really fitted in around my school (laughs louder) ; and then on, I stopped caring who I sat by and what group I belonged to, because as those broke apart, fell out and became jealous with one another, my group stayed the same- and I was totally fine with it! It also taught me the way of the world- You have people that fit in all types of categories, and then you have the ones that stand alone, and end up doing something great with their life… I wanted to be one of those people!" Thus the creation of Bella Vertia, who's original name was "Fight For Truth" -" I believed that the name had to be fixed and that it was so bland, so I came up with Bella Vertia with the origins based in Italy, in which I plan to move to in the coming years, and created the name, and it has stuck with me ever since!" Phoenix Currently resides in Atlanta, Ga where she is attending Agnes Scott College with a double major of Biology and Philosophy and a Minor in Classics. "It's a pretty busy schedule, but I can take that challenge"

Nyx Star:

Nyx Star was born on October 19th, 1990 To Nicole and Virgil McGuire and raised in Lansing, Michigan and moved to Atlanta, Ga at 15 years old. There she went to school at Miller Grove High, where she first encounter the culture of the south. "It's ridiculous! Southerners do things so differently than Northerners, even how they dress and act! (laughs) I guess that’s how different we really are." Nyx Star first began here passion for writing when she was younger. "I love to read books from Urban Authors, and I have always had it in my mind that I wanted to become one- one day. It is amazing to get the opportunity now to develop my skills and put myself out there." Starting with baby poems and adjusting to short stories and novels, Nyx has always felt the need to write." It was something to clear mind and relive stress. It turned from a hobby to a passion and now my former niche". Nyx met P Nyx currently resides in Atlanta, Ga where she attends college and is majoring in English.

Ana B.

Ana B. was born in Minnesota on February 18th, 1990 to Karen King. Ana B. moved to Atlanta, Ga when she was in the 10th grade and has yet to adjust. "It's crazy down here! People have no manners and the men walk around with the pants of there butts! And Look at all the fashion down here (sighs) its ridiculous." Ana B. main passion has always been in fashion, in which she is Majoring in at Clark Atlanta. When she was younger, she always pictured herself as a designer and has not let dream fall by the side.
