1 Nick Straker Band
Future's Above My Head
(1979):
CD-R
Seems to be where it all began outside of New Musik. Not produced by Tony, but he played guitar on a few tracks. Tony Hibbert played bass and Phil Towner drums, on a few tracks.
2 Nick Straker Band
A Walk in the Park
(1980):
Cassette
Similar tracks to the 'Future's Above...' album. Not produced by Tony, but he played guitar on a few tracks. Tony Hibbert played bass and Phil Towner drums, on a few tracks. Hence the 'band' consisted of New Musik, almost.

8 Captain Sensible
Women and Captains First
(1982):
Vinyl LP.
Tony was free to experiment with his production here, and some of these tracks sound pretty New Musik-like, chronologically straight after Warp.
Most of the tracks can be found on the 'Best of' compilation CD.
9 Captain Sensible
The Collection
(2003) [Compilation]:
CD album.
Some classic TM here. The atmosphere and mood of &34;Glad It's All Over&34; perhaps make it the most New Musik-like of all his productions?

CD compilation.
Most of the tracks are Tony's productions. Very nice too. &34;Just What I Always Wanted&34; is the obvious gem, but &34;Are You There with Another Girl?&34; is pure TM.

From the '12&34; 80s' triple-CD.
15 Naked Eyes
The Best of Naked Eyes
(1991) [Compilation]:
CD album.
Tony was a very busy man in the 1983/84 period these songs are from. Naked Eyes' sound was more ornate than many of Tony's productions, and perhaps this made it more radio friendly (in the US at least - they were never big in the UK).
There's quite a noisy, early 80s 'big percussion' to many tracks, and the Fairlight sound was still yet to fully develop, as would be the case a few years later. Yet this still represents good 'bang for the buck' in Tony's productions - lots of trademark touches.

23 Miguel BoséXXX
(1987):
CD-Rs of both English and Spanish versions.
A really good album of melodic, late-era synth pop with a nice variety of tasteful, tuneful songs. Tony's production is quite apparent and had developed a lot by this stage: XXX represents the zenith of his Fairlight sound. Clive Gates and Rob Fisher add keyboard touches, and there may even be elements of the New Musik sound in places. Quite sublime, and one of my faves, definitely.
24 Claude Sabbah

(1989):
CD-R album.
26 Jean-Pierre Mader
Midi à minuit
(1989):
CD-R.
A nice French 'vibe' to this, with some production similarities perhaps to Bose.
Most notable track for Tony fans has to be &34;Hard and Soft&34;, with its brilliant instrumental ending. This was obviously a pure Mansfield moment: a wonderfully dreamy, atmospheric, melancholic soundscape.
27 Duke
The 10 Commandments of Love
(1995):
Double-CD album.
Tony held back on the intensity of his trademark production in the 1990s, so don't expect the New Musik tricks, although as ever his production is first class. The Fairlight had by now long since given way to a more natural, less electronic sound the 90s would dictate. This is nice, smooth, laid back, 'downtempo' soul-pop. The production is clean and modern. Grown up pop: you can cast off any preconceptions, this ain't teen-fodder!
(Interestingly two tracks were produced by Duke himself, and sound similar production-wise).
28 Ana Torroja
Puntos cardinales
(1997):
CD album.
Nice, grown up pop music. Don't let the fact it is Spanish put you off. With an impressive cast of musicians, featuring keyboard contributions by Clive Gates and Rob Fisher, and great production: not entirely New Musik-like but the influence is there.
29 Steve Jansen & Yukihiro Takahashi
Pulse
(1998):
&34;Memory Without Consequence&34; -- 192 Kbps MP3
Tony sings on this laid back, organic sounding duet.
30 Ilene Barnes
Set You Free
(2000):
CD album.
Into the 21st century here with one of Tony's later productions, and again it's very much adult-oriented as opposed to teen-pop. Tony's productions grew up with us.
A pure, modern, organic sound, with some distinctive yet subtle keyboards and electronics. (Sadly this album was to mark Rob Fisher's last ever contribution).
Although French, Ms Barnes sings throughout in confident English. Perhaps the best way I can describe her is something of a cross between Joan Armatrading and Shirley Bassey...
But even the most ardent Mansfield-fanatic may not recognise the production. This is not at all New Musik-like, although it is first-rate in every way.
Tony arranged the string section on one of the tracks he didn't produce.

I very much hope I am proven wrong, but all evidence seems to suggest this may have been Tony's final production. Seven years is a long wait for new material...
