sMelt met back in the mid 1980's. At the time future band members Madness Madnesson, Stanislav Kuznetsov and River Churnet were under a variety of Sections on the Larry 'shut that door' Grayson Ward at Saint Gads Asylum. River Churnet was diagnosed with acute defication disorder and had previously been known as The Bowel of Bradnop. Madness Madnessons diagnosis was Reverse contortionist disorder which involved meditating on bolts and other collectables. Stanislav Kuznetsov not to be confused with the Russian serial killer, was diagnosed with chronic flaccid kalashnikov function. Sister Liza Joan Morgan organised music therapy workshops on the Grayson Ward. This is where sMelt was created. Many people with many psychosis became involved but these are the three enduring members of sMelt. After a succession of sectioned drummers Sam Hunt was found and proved ferrel enough to withstand the demands of drumming for sMelt.
