When Jesse was a little kid, he would sing along to all of his older brothers records. His older brother would shout, Shut up Jesse! Stop Singing!
Jesse kept singing. Then Jesse started writing songs. And songs. And more songs.
As a songwriter, Jesse has seen a lot and lived a lot. Hes eaten at the finest dives and dived into the finest lakes. Hes broken up with angels and been dumped by devils. Jesses first date with his future wife was a seven-day adventure through the Black Hills of South Dakota that included getting lost on the way to the Badlands and sleeping in the tall grass under big stars.
Jesse knows how to look and how to listen. He loves to tell stories his own and other peoples. And his stories are always true, even when they are made up.
If you look in Jesses record collection, you could probably find something you like, no matter what you like. Jesse learned songwriting from all his favorite artists. Then he studied songwriting at the Berklee College of Music. Jesse likes constructive criticism.
Jesse has written music alone in his room on Valentines Day and written songs with his friends while hanging out at some dive bar. He writes song ideas when they come to him because he knows that good ideas go elsewhere if you dont listen to them.
When Jesse lived in California, he worked in a gray office building in a gray cubicle, and he started to turn gray too. But something saved him. Told him to believe. To resonate with all the other music out there.
Jesse moved to Nashville, TN where it all begins with a song. He loves co-writing with friends new and old. He follows the song wherever it goes, whatever the genre, whatever it needs.
Jesse listens for the harmony of people and the cacophony of personalities. He likes to blend them; bend them into songs. Blend the beauty and the darkness, the creative frenzy of love within and without.
