About Me
Two-Bit Floozy merges the melodic flare of pop with the energy and emotion of rock 'n roll. A mid-western girl and a big-city boy; its an unlikely combination, but it works like magic.
Rocco & Jen met in Wichita, Kansas, where Jen was born and raised. Rocco was there recording a new song and needed a singer. When they first heard her voice with his song, they knew they had touched upon something special. From that day forward they kept in touch, in hopes of one day doing it again, and taking it further.
A year later it all fell into place. Jen packed up, drove away from Kansas for the first time, and headed to Los Angeles. Rocco quit his job with a big rock band and began making the demo. The songs caught the attention of Matt Sorum (The Cult, Guns 'n Roses, Velvet Revolver), and from there the starting gun was fired. Rocco produced and engineered the recordings, and played everything but the drums, honing a sound that truly bridges pop and rock. Jens powerful voice brings it all home, and theres no doubt youre listening to a girl who means what she sings.
From piano ballad I Believed to mid-tempo majestic sing-a-long Highwire, to the upbeat rocker Different, Two-Bit Floozy has a wide range of sounds. Even the country-esque Arizona and the dark, rhythmic Fading Out fit right in with a set list that creates a journey.
Usually performing with a full rock band, TBF may have catchy tunes, but they're no lightweights; Marshall amps and driving drums aren't just for hard rock anymore. Stage presence abound, the TBF live experience is exciting and dynamic. With Jen engaging the audience and Roccos spirited guitar playing, its obvious theyre having a good time, and the banter between them keeps you paying attention.
If there has to be pop, there might as well be good pop. People say they need music they understand, with real emotion, infectious grooves, high energy, and unpretentious lyrics. Music that helps them remember, and music that helps them forget. Two-Bit Floozy plays that music.
