The Fussbudgets

About Me

The Fussbudgets was formed in 1987 in San Francisco, California, by Larry O. Dean (Malcontent, Post Office, The Me Decade, The Injured Parties) and Chris Lehmann (The Charm Offensive) with bassist Ned Doherty (All Ones, Mushroom). The band recorded a series of cassette-only releases that were sporadically distributed, but which nonetheless received glowing reviews in the US and UK press, and local Bay Area airplay: two albums, Torobunga! (1988), and The Naked & the Daft (1993); and two EP’s, Fresh Brood (1991), and sad fearful playful excited (1994). During its tenure The Fussbudgets recorded with Peter Eckhart and James Schaefer at Olde West, and Greg Freeman at Lowdown; its swan-song EP was recorded in Larry’s apartment, above a doctor’s office in the Mission district.
