News
Dear listener, welcome to three new previews from Old Hits, and a small update on the goings-on in King’s Hammer studios! The songs you are already hearing as you read this, and the update follows now:
The band is currently on the final brink of completing their next collection of musics. Continuing their worldly ways, this record contains songs written on three continents and several countries, as well as the big land called the imagination. It is like the bastard stepcousin of Hope – the record from 2005 that first deviated from the band’s habit of making concept albums. As such, there are many different things that can be found on the new album, including: teenage communists, rising regrets, guitars which are loud, stories from the movies, an autobiography, dadaism, an amusing recording of a truth called nothing being heckled, postmodern thinking, one road map, a song spanning at least five different genres, one Seventh Seal-like moment, pessimism suddenly morphing into optimism, visits by actual celebrity guests, a somewhat unhappy couple, a smorgasbord of one-liners, ladies and gentlemen by the pool in an upper-middle-class setting, no gypsies (although there could have been), and many more.

Songs currently playing
Unsentimental Deathlist: This song is the result of an independent film, a dentist’s appointment, and plenty of whimsy – and it’s still atcn’s only political song. The film in question, which featured this as its main theme, is not only the result of the atcn members’ unfettered imaginations, but has also been lost for ten years – its ideas untasted by a society that would surely be undone by them.
Hamburg: Contemplating recent events in a new city far, far away, sitting at the docks by the river, Mr. Sobranie wrote this song about betrayal, disappointment and malaise. It’s a moving-on kind of thing. It takes you on a journey to Hamburg, in autumn, and then you have to leave again. For Berlin.
Leaving: The crowning achievement of atcn’s pretentious ways. In this case, it was not written sitting at the docks, but sitting at the graveyard – a place that was often visited by the Messrs during their stay in the old city by the old lake. This graveyard was next to a body of water, and included a bridge that atcn liked to walk across while contemplating death. Originally written down in an old notebook that used to belong to Samuelsson's father, the song is the pinnacle of atcn’s ongoing reflections on what a human being is supposed to do to occupy its time.

Old Hits press release
“After years of toil, the band releases a perfect album for the modern age.”
We are privileged to present to you, the Internet public, Old Hits. This new album by the postmodern heroes a truth called nothing reprises some of their most interesting material in new, unforeseen ways – creating the synthesis of new and old that we all so sorely need.
YOUR IPOD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME*! What we’re dealing with here is the ULTIMATE IPOD ALBUM! When listening to music on the “go”, what you want is economical, easily digested music which still holds breadth and depth. Old Hits provides you with this. It is economical, with its length of approximately 45 minutes. It is easily digested, containing several choruses that will linger on the mind. And yet, it is broad: it features hi-fi and lo-fi; electronics and acoustics; love and hate; atheism and Christianity; all together in harmony. It is also deep, containing true stories from the imagination; modern parables of great poetic thrust; accompanied by music that represents the pinnacle of each genre. In total, you have everything to win from loading this album onto your digital entertainment device. As a modern, intelligent member of society, you will find in Old Hits an excellent soundtrack to your existence.
Across the skies, over factories and oil storage facilities, drifting on the wind of the current decade – Hamburg, We Remember You, Fall Beautifully – songs that prolong infinity. There is a smell of betrayal upon the glorious morning air. There is an emptiness inherent in postmodern life. There is a band called a truth called nothing, which is making music, in Sweden.
Sweet salutations,
Johannes Dalgren

Regarding "a truth called nothing":
Atcn began in some sort of zone, whereto its members’ sense of music had floated after detaching from the objective reality. Without both technical ability and sense of self, this tortured creativity erupted onto tape and/or digital file, and will from now on be available here, in the semiphysical world. Releasing this music today, in the present time, is an experiment. The creators never made much of an effort to let it be heard, and there seems to be no specific purpose to do so now. Still, we will be showcasing older songs in an asymmetrical manner, as well as new works when they develop. i mean y not rite lol
