About Me

I love music. The first song I was ever obsessed with was "Lil' Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs.I discovered punk rock in 9th grade because I had a crush on a punk rock boy that sat in front of me in Spanish class. He wrote the names of his favorite bands on the back of his jean jacket, and every weekend I would go to Recordtown and buy a different cassette tape so that I would have something to talk to him about.My first job was at the local libraray, where one of my duties was to stamp all the new books that came in with a stamp that said "Jackson County Library, Napoleon Branch". When I was checking in the romance novels, I would stamp all the dirty pages so my friends and I could find them later.My mother grounded me in high school after she discovered that I had shaved DM (for Depeche Mode) in the back of my head.I moved to Los Angeles, CA from Napoleon, MI during the great storm of '96, after intense prompting from a gay Australian. When I refused to marry him so that he could get his green card, he kicked me out of the house and I never saw him again.I have been blessed with the opportunity to produce shows for pretty much every band I have ever loved, plus new bands that I don't know that I love yet.My proudest moment is when I booked Sonic Youth for Sunset Junction 2002. That was the first time I booked a really big band without any help from my boss, and it was a turning point in my career.I love tatoos, but I can't get them because I am on blood thinner. So my best friend Debi gets tatoos for me.I have a hard time saying no to chocolate. Or whiskey.If I ever met Alan Wilder I would not want to shake his hand, I would just want to hold it.As soon as I see AC/DC live, I can officially die happy.
