Well it's been a while since I redid anything on this page so I might as well change this part too, since I'm not the same beatmaker that I was when I typed it.
My real name is EJ (Errol-Jermaine), born March 2, 1993, at the moment i'm 16. (=D). A dude (♀). Cuban + Jamaican. Queens, New York Resident I use FL Studio
I make music under the alias Fantastique. I don't mean it as another way to spell fantastic. In french literature, Fantastique is where the supernatural, is accepted and is just flat out reasonable in an imaginary world of a realistic narrative. A sort of magic realism, where apparently supernatural things are explained and accepted as normal. So I consider myself to be something like that, my music, stories, pictures, anything I create is made up of non realistic, supernatural desires and they're accepted in my mind, my world and considered normal, its up to the listener/viewer if they're in my world too .
My music became an extension of me, my music is my thoughts and emotions painted either bluntly or abstractly. If I'm in love or crushing or whatever you want to call it you would be able to tell in my music because it would have love based samples, or feel umm lovely? Basically my music is an audio journal of sorts .
But all of that is only with my music. When I make a beat for someone else, I'll just make the canvas, they paint the picture of what they want. I'm not one of those beatmakers that say " here's a beat, take it or leave it ". I'll make a beat the exact way you ask you want it to be made, or I'll let them hear one of the ones I've already made and alter it to their liking.
I try my best to keep myself active creatively whether it be making music, or writing lyrics, or even listening to genres I normally wouldn't listen to. I think it's good to introduce your ears to foreign things ( hahah, I typed foreign objects at first. :]) since I listen to so many genres I've become pretty good at a variety of different genres of music. I'm more experienced in hip hop, Reggaeton, pop, pop rock, r&b ( even though i don't really like making it >:/. I won't mind if you ask though :]), salsa, merengue, bachata, trip-hop, grunge, and acoustic.
