RAZE the STRAY features former members of Systematic, Skinlab, and Subincision.
Biography
A product of the San Francisco Bay area music scene, RAZE the STRAY strives to set a standard. Catchy melody's, thoughtful lyrics and keen musicianship shape this band into one of originality and style. Never ones to put image before music, RAZE the STRAY focus their talents on writing memorable songs and performing live.
Formed by Nick St. Denis, formerly of Elektra recording artist Systematic, and Mike Roberts, co-founder of Century-media's Skinlab, RAZE the STRAY'S sound is as diverse as the history of the individual members. Damon Demers (vocals) was cutting his teeth taking small acting roles in independent film while earning his bachelors degree from UC Berkeley, Rik Miles (Drunk on Kerosene, Subincision-Bass) losing teeth on a California minor league hockey team, and John Riggs (G2K), fixing teeth in a small East Bay clinic
Once known as PRIMATE, RAZE the STRAY built a nationwide following with hits such as REGINALD, SCRAWL and R.A.T. off their debut Album "Face for Radio", catching the attention of Stone Temple Pilots' drummer Eric Kretz. The band spent three months in his Los Angeles studio recording a demo produced by Kretz himself. The band is currently finishing up their second full-length record and plan to tour the west coast in support of the album.
