Howdy! I'm James Hakola, aka Mr.Dandy! I'm a designer and sculptor, living in Long Beach, CA. I've been in the toy and model thing now for 10 years now.

I may be babbling here about my sculpting projects, weird stuff I did or saw, or anything else rattling around in my argillacious cranium. Sorry for the big stupid word, that's a sculpting joke-- it means "containing clay!"
If you're into female fantasy and sci-fi Garage Kits (aka Resin Kits), you might want to check back here, that's what I'm gearing up to start doing more of. Some custom art dolls and other low-brow stuff too.
I worked as an in-house sculptor for Mattel for several years, and have been fortunate enough to rack up a decent amount of commisioned work as well. You can see my portfolio here .
What I like doing best are my own designed creations. I make all kinds of different stuff because that's the way I am-- all over the place! Sometimes I see it in the catalog in my mind, and I want one! I can't order it so I make it myself.
