I was born Webb Parmelee Hollenbeck on November 11, 1889 in rural Indiana. In 1892 I moved to New York with my mother where at age 5, I started taking dancing and acting lessons. By the age of 19 I was a professional ballroom dancer and quickly moved on to Broadway. I made my movie debut in 1920 in the film "Polly With a Past." I continued to put my acting (and dancing) skills to use in many movies throughout the years. Some of my more well-known films: "Laura," The Mr. Belvedere series, "Cheaper By the Dozen," "Titanic," and "Three Coins in a Fountain."
After my beloved mother's death in 1960, I fell ill myself and decided to live in seclusion. I passed away on October 13, 1966 from a heart attack.
