I come from Topanga Canyon.......... and to those of you who dont know what that means,should in fact spend a "Topanga Days"with us.By day,youll get twice baked in the sun and celebrate the unity of many different walks of life. By night, you would travel through the hills of Topanga to parties and late night jam sessions. Becoming enthralled with Fascinating stories,fantastic tall tales, and marvelous music of many genres."Food,Wine, and Good Green Smoke, accompanied by a Drunkin Jester as he spoke". This is the Topanga I know and love and after experiencing her magic you may agree.......... Us Topangans are a rare breed. Whats all this got to do with Hip Hop? Everything! But I’ll let the album speak for itself. My name is Brandon Farr, Though Im referred to by a dozen other nick names by my friends and fellow musicians. The most recently celebrated name being"Goat Legs", and after hearing the album, you may understand why. Many of these songs were dug up and written over a period of 3 to 4 years. they’ve helped to inspire and shape me as a B-Boy poet, and so I’ve felt obligated to get them onto something tangible for quite some time. There are so many names I would love mention and thank,especially within my crew. But "The LPS" is a project of many faces and voices. This would take up more space than I would choose to hit the people with all at once. However, there are a few names I feel I must thank. Mr. Severen Hayward the originator, for tunning me into his world and works of Hip Hop soul. Mr. Jake Smith and Emerick Tacket for their long hours of devotion in helping this album reach destination on time. Thank you!
