I am here for Friends

About Me

I was always the shy, booky kid at school. No good at sports, loved the library.I am a Buddhist by nature but love exploring other people's beliefs and values.I write a lot - always in pursuit of that ever illusive first novel. The best thing about life is other people. The worst thing about life is other people.I love friends. I love laughing and joking. Theatre, movies, music, literature are my thing, though I like watching football and baseball as well.My politics are left of centre but, as a Buddhist I believe in the Middle Path.Human rights, trade unions, equality, liberty, respect for other cultures and a desire to understand the world - these are things that are important to me. ..This profile was edited with MySpace Profile Editor MySpace Profile Editor

star trek xi

I saw the new Star Trek movie on the weekend.  It was good.  They made a few small errors, like having Kirk being born in space when he was born in Riverside, Iowa and having a drink called a Cardassi...

Rupert Murdoch complained yesterday that he is not making as much money as he was before because people expect their news free on the Internet.  Poor soul, he only made $3.9 billion dollars this year!
