DNA
DNA is of the newest rap groups to emerge from the West Coast. Their unique verbal styling captivates listeners with powerful dominance and lyrical mastery making them one of the most sensational new artists to grace the scene. Royal Duke hails from Kansas City, MO and Yun-A from Los Angeles CA both attending schools in their respective hometowns.
Most recently DNA has performed in California, Utah, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Texas and New Mexico with Lunch Da General, Yun-A's cousin, on his Get em Girl tour. Prior to this they performed with Diamonique, Big Steel, Fingazz and Dirty Bird and presently they are working on many soon to be released projects with various producers in the Los Angeles, CA area.
When Yun-A was just 15 years old and Royal Duke 18 they started freestyling wherever they could eventually creating the label "DNA" to identify their unique sound and image. Royal Duke’s mother is an R&B Artist while Yun-A's Cousin, Lunch Da General, is a recording artist as well so it is no surprise they became artists in their own right.
Staying true to their inception DNA always writes their own music and said they would "Be Fakin The Funk" if it were any other way. With real life injections and unmatched lyrical delivery these two have created a place never before filled within rap music. Producing superior quality material, DNA masterfully creates each new piece more differently from the last offering listeners an urban philosophy and a glimpse of what it’s like to be young black men on the rise.
