THE BABOLAT GENERATION:
In 1874, Walter Colopton Wingfield create the game of tennis. One year later, Pierre Babolat created the first strings made of natural gut. By the end of the 50's, Babolat launched the Babol, and innovation to project natural gut string and prolong their life. The success was such that everyone "Babolized" thier strings. After concntrating all its efforts on the improvement and perfection of stringing, Babolat embarked upon a new adventure: frame and stringing accessories. From the Babol to the grips, from introducing electronics into stringng machines to the development of sheath fibers, Babolat has always been an innovator in tennis equipment. In the 80's Babolat designed and developed a full range of grips to absorb the shocks and vibain of the racket at the moment of impact. Later, Babolat is equiped with a new generation stringing machine ta takes stringing to a new evolution. With achievements in sringing, the game speeds up. In 1992: development of the Racket Diagnostic Center with the purpose of testing resistance and precision. In 1994, Babolat became a "total tennis" company. Back in the 70's Babolat was the first to inscribe it logo-VS-directly onto the strings. Then, in he late 90's, Babolat launches the double black line across the bottom of the racket face. In 1998 Carlos Moya wins Roland Garros with a Babolat racket. Then, Babolat launhed the first dynamic systm capable of making the frame and strings interact when the ball is hit. Babolat has been able to find its place on all the courts of the world throughout the decades and has accompanied many, many champions to the top step of the podium. As the sport of tennis evolves, Babolat continues with a 125-year old tradition of inventing what does not yet exist. This is the "Babolat Generation."
