About Me

Hey Oklahoma, my name is Carla Lee. I began In The Thick Promotions in 2008. I focus on corporate party planning, event promotions, and various other business consultations. My first personal event was a domino tournament held in May of 2008. Several world champion players traveled from Kansas City, MO and Fort Worth, Tx. Don't believe me? Just check out my slide show and google the name Jerome Wooten. He is the number player in the world and has earned over $180,000 playing dominoes. He is also the current world champion. So be on the lookout for more domino tournaments in the future. I also serve as the Marketing Director for Local Heat Magazine, Oklahoma's premiere urban magazine. We feature our states top music, film and anything unique to the urban culture. My feature project at this time is the "Local Heat Myspace Singles of the Week." I choose 3 to 4 songs every week to be featured on the Local Heat Myspace page. These artists have the chance to featured in as the Local Heat Myspace Single of the Month in the magazine. We have many great projects in store so keep it fresh Oklahoma! You may just get a chance to be in Local Heat.******************************************************* ********************UPDATE 2009*************************** 2009 is finally here. Along with a new year comes a few exciting changes. First, I have resigned from my position as Marketing Director with Local Heat Magazine. However, I will continue to work as a contributing writer focusing on general interest stories. I will forever and always love Local Heat!!! Thanks for believing in me Marcus Hayes! Second, I have expanded In The Thick Promotions to include being a professional publicist. My first client is Oklahoma City native Big 8. This rising star was featured on the cover of Local Heat Magazine in August 2008. He won first place at the Cincinnati Music Conference in October 2008 and was featured on the cover of Leake Magazine. Be on the look out for the "King of Da O" mixtape dropping January 30, 2009!
