Music:

I like a broad and eclectic range of music - from Charles Mingus to Nickleback; from Rhianna to Led Zeppelin. I truly enjoy virtually all types of music. I'm the one who burns cds for my friends. Right now I'm into: John Legend, The Raconteurs, Tyrone Wells, Rocco De Luca, Lucinda Williams and Mike Farris.

Movies:

I've turned into a real movie fan and have embraced "the dark side." I love: Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, Magnolia, The Life Aquatic, Swingers, High Fidelity, Grosse Point Blank. The two installments of "Empire Falls" on HBO are magnificent - you need to see them.

Television:

I watch: House, Lost, Atlanta Braves, Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs reguarly. Also get hooked on the Military Channel from time to time. I like to watch them blow stuff up. Mythbusters can be cool too, but I think those two guys are not so secretly gay.

Books:

THIS is college football, my friend.  This is real football.  Anyone else is a pretender; anyone else is whistling "Dixie," literally. For the second year in a row, Ohio State got their ass ...

Changing Times

"How easy it is to get stalled in the shallows.  Life's tiny eddies swirling all around, close to the shelter and safety of the shore.  And how hard to strike out for the middle of the stre...

Top Gear

I have a new favorite television show now, thanks to the wonders of DishTV.  From the people who brought you the original, "The Office," "Absolutely Fabulous," and "Benny Hill," it's "Top Gear" o...

Being Uncle Larry
