About Me

The brief bio of Ashley Arnold: I grew up in Monee, IL; lived there until I was 17. Two months after my eighteenth birthday I went to basic training for the Army. People that know me have mixed opinions on that. I personally think that it has been a huge challenge in my life, but all in all, for the good. I’ve spent 5 years on active duty and now I’m in the TN Army National Guard for 6 years. It does appear that I will be retiring from the military one way or another. I joined the Army to be an Air Traffic Controller. They trained me and awarded me ratings necessary to work in the career field in the civilian sector. I am currently working for the FAA at Columbus Metro Airport, GA. I’ve got two dogs, Sienna and Shadow.. cute pics of my girls in my pictures, take a look. I think that’s me in a few words; if you want to know anything else, don’t be scared to ask. I have just one quote to leave you with today: In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England's Prime Minister, Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. . When asked by one of his parliament members why he believes in America so much, he said: "A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... and how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

I'd like to meet:

No one special I'd like to meet. But it would be great to see my best freinds and family again. Dad, Mom, Rob, Meg, Mom+Dad Gallagher, Stu and Christina, Bryan, John... I can't wait to see y'all again...There's many more of y'all I'd love to see again also. Can't wait to get back to the states to get to visit everyone...

Music:

Country is my favorite. After that, everything is good here and there, just not everyday. But, I hate rap. I won't listen to it. I can't relate to it at all, and it just angers me.

Movies:

I don't watch too many... normally don't have time. But Ever After, A Cinderella Story is still my favorite movie. Shrek is pretty awesome also. I know, I'm still a kid...

Television:

Deffinatly don't waste my time with this. I know it can be addictive, so I stay away and make better use of my time. But 7th Heaven and the Simpsons are the best!

Books:

The Road Not Taken by Rona Jaffe; Oh, By The Way...by Brian Buffini; anything by Robert Kiyosaki; The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren; Blue Like Jazz (forgot, sorry) The Few by Alex Kershaw

Heroes:

Dad Gallagher. This is one ethical man. He does an outstanding job in everything he does. There isn't a place on this planet I would not follow him. He is the only person that I would feel comfortable following blindly. My Mom. She has shown unconditional love more than any I've seen. After all I did to her and said about her when I was a teenager... I'd expect her to hate me, but instead she has loved me the whole time, and helps me out with anything I need. I love you Mom!!
