Chris is the guitarist and vocalist for the rock band Seventh Stone, and is also a guitarist with the pop/fusion band Blind Trust. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar performance from the University of Prince Edward Island. While attending university he studied Music Theory and History, Harmonization, Arranging and both solo and choral singing . Chris has played in numerous R&B, soul, and rock bands both locally and in Halifax. He has also worked as an actor and musician with various theater companies around the Maritimes. In 1997 Chris joined the spanish guitar group Este Mundo, and played with the group for almost 10 years. During this time Este Mundo released three albums, Isla Rosada, Los Elementos, and Tres Guitarras. These albums were well received by both the music industry and the public, winning both PEI and ECMA awards. Este Mundo was signed by Tidemark Distribution and Gen Mac Records and their CD's were sold nationally at HMV, Wal Mart, Zellers, and many other retail stores. They were highlighted numerous times on both CBC radio and television, and were also featured in a 30 minute spotlight on Vision TV. Este Mundo was also featured on the CD, "Outside of the Ordinary" which was released by CBC and produced by Adrian Hoffman. During his time with Este Mundo, Chris toured across Canada doing shows from St. John's, NFLD to Victoria, B.C. Some of their most notable performances were at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, at the 2001 ECMA Awards Gala, and with the PEI Symphony as a featured group. Chris is also an accomplished studio musician, producer and engineer. Along with his performances on the 3 Este Mundo CD's, he was a guest guitarist on Adam Basset's PEI Music Award winning album "Corkscrew View". He played guitar, bass, percussion, sang backup vocals and co-produced Pete Blanding's debut solo album "So Someone Will Remember", which was also nominated for a PEI Music Award. As a producer/engineer Chris has also recorded several CD's for local musicians.At the present, Chris is working on the debut albums for both Seventh Stone and Blind Trust.

Traynor Dark Horse - quick review
