About Me

I just finished my Ph.D at Kansas State University in the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. My degree emphasizes in restoration ecology. I work for the state as a Floodplain/Systems Ecologist in the Resource Science division. I got married in December 2005 to my guy, Chad. Since I took the job in Jan 2008 we are currently working on making our new house a home. At least this house has a huge garage (30 x 40') for Chad to have plenty of room to work on his mustangs! We also have 2 dogs, Mohriah & Ellie, and a cat, Indy which are our "kids".

Do you have Iowa in you?

My Interests

Bouldering, rock climbing, canoeing, and pretty much anything outdoorsy. Scrapbooking/rubber stamping, running, and dogs! And of course I love playing with fire... to the right are photos of prescirbed burns I have been on at Konza, plus cute photos of bison!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet people interested in outdoorsy type stuff. Chad and I are always looking for people who like to go camping, canoeing, rock climbing, etc.

Music:

Pretty much anything that I can understand the lyrics. I used to be a major metal head, but now I prefer listening to music that I can sing along to - alternative, metal, country, etc. As long as it is not screaming, obnoxious or it's britney spears, I'll listen to it.

Movies:

I like lots of movies. Other than that my favorites include Office Space, Shrek, and all Harry Potter movies.

Television:

Books:

All Harry Potter books should be read by anyone who enjoys the movies. I prefer the books, but the movies so far do a pretty good job and following the books. I also really enjoyed Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I'm also a big fan of the witch chronicles and vampire chronicles by Anne Rice.

Heroes:

My dad.
