About Me

Welcome to the Association of Latin American Students' Myspace page… We're a revolution that is not waiting to happen…we take action! We advocate on behalf of Solidarity. We organize our Communities’ youth and give an alternative path that doesn’t lead to gangs and violence, instead it leads to higher education. We are a diverse group of Latin American/Caribbean and Native/Indigenous Students. As students, we feel it is important to educate our communities about the continuous struggle of indigenous/minority people in the Americas and the world. The soul purpose of our club A.L.A.S. is to deepen the understanding of Latino culture and raise awareness on current issues concerning not only Latinos but the diverse groups on our campus and communities...
