About Me
My name is Calixto. I know I have a unique name don't mention it lol. My close friends call me TiCo. I'm Costa Rican and Jamaican. I moved to the states in 1999 and began learning English in fourth grade. Si, hablo español y inglés. I graduated from Palm Bay High School class of 08. I also went to Brevard Community College as a dual enrollment student. I am determined to get my education and be successful so I can have a nice comfortable living in the future. I don’t want to worry about not having enough money to pay the bills, or being in debt. I am looking for the type of life style that many just dream of. That is being debt free and being able to do whatever I want, when I want. Growing up I lived through the toughest times any kid could go through, and I know I will never want to be in those situations again. Many think I am too ambitious, but I know in the end it will pay off for me. Playing soccer is a huge part of my life. I have achieved a lot through my years. I played at the highest level of competitive soccer (state cup) from 2002 till 2007 for the MEGU Fusion. Unfortunately we never won a state championship and in our last years appearance we lost to HC United in the state semifinal 4-2. Our team eventually broke up since many of my team mates graduated. This year I played my fourth varsity soccer season for Palm Bay High School. I was the leading scorer in all of Brevard County for the 07-08 season. I scored 24 goals and had 7 assists in just 18 games. With that, I was selected for the first team in the All Space Coast team and all conference team for the 07-08 season. I was also in the FACA All-State Game, I scored 2 goals to lead the East coast to a 4-2 victory over the North coast to become state champs. On April 3rd, in my last high school soccer game, I played for the South in the Brevard All-Star game. I scored one goal as we tied the North 1-1. Yes, I have a lot behind me, but I don’t find it to be good enough. I will continue to play and work hard to become even better. Being more successful is my main priority. Remember to always keep your head up high and believe in yourself. You never know what you can achieve with a positive attitude.
