The Things I Know To Be True
1. I can’t help who I love or who I don't love. That emotion has a mind of its own…I’m just along for the ride, even if it’s a bumpy one..
♥
2. I have to make every day an awesome one. I’m not willing to waste a day over stupid shit—no one really ever knows how many they have left. .
♥
3. Laughter is the key to just about everything, especially my heart, friendship and loyalty.
♥
4. Before I leave this world, I have to make sure I do things that make it better than when I got here.
♥
5. Karma is a bitch—I know it will come back on me when I least expect it…therefore it is always best to do what I know to be the right thing to do.
♥
6. It is always better to risk getting my feelings hurt than to not tell people that I love them.
♥
7. Always look out for the underdog because next time it could be me.
♥
8. Always figure out what works best for ME—I can’t worry about what other people think—they don’t have deal with the aftermath—I DO.
♥
9. I cannot lie to myself. I know the truth. It’s always there and it never leaves. It’s much easier to face reality and deal with it all head on than to fake it.
♥
10. I know that I am strong, independent, smart, funny, kind, sensitive and friendly. I know I’m a good person. If others don’t think so, that’s their issue, not mine. I’m all good on my end
♥
11. Go big or go home--I don't have time for any "half way" crap people try to do. I believe people should go all out or do nothing at all. After all, half way there is only...ummm...well....half way...which means you still lose.
♥
12. I have to learn something new every day. If I don't, I 'll stay the same and change is a good thing, not something to be afraid of--look what happened to the dinosaurs--extinction is NOT a good look.
♥
Reading, Writing--especially poetry, but I dabble in short stories and am working on 2 screenplays. I love the news (I'm an MSNBC junkie) and I love to learn...about anything...doesn't matter as long as I am learning something everyday about life and people I am happy!
MY AWESOME STUDENT WILL MADE THIS FOR ME!!!!

Hilary Clinton--she'll make a great Pres or VP!!
Governor Napolitano--she seems pretty cool--I like her political style--maybe I'll have her job someday.
I'd like to meet Amy Tan (her last book sucked--don't read it) and Maya Angelou--my 2 favorite authors. I'd especially like to meet Ronald Bass--he wrote the screenplays for "My Best Friend's Wedding" "Rain Man" and about a billion other movies.
I'd also love to meet Nora Ephron. She wrote the screenplays for "You've Got Mail" "Sleepless in Seattle" and "When Harry Met Sally" all of which star Meg Ryan, another person I'd like to meet!
Nora Ephron is currently my idol!
I want to be just like her when I grow up!! ;)I'd like to meet Simon Ortiz and Luci Tapahonso and Pat Mora--3 of my favorite poets.

I like a little bit of everything: Country, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Rap, Classical, Jazz...doesn't really matter. My favorites are Rascal Flatts, Dixie Chicks, Nelly Furtado, Nelly, Sugarland, Bow Wow, Akon, Kelly Clarkson and even Metallica and Nickelback. I also like classical music, I love cajun music (live) and anything that has a good beat that I can get lost in.
And shhh...don't tell anyone, but I absolutely love cheesy pop songs--you know the ones...Paula DeAnde, JoJo etc... how embarrasing :)
I love making movies--the whole process is amazing...does that count?
I like to write them and am 1/4 of the way through writing my best one yet--maybe i'll actually send this one out to people! I also love the pre-production/production part of movies. I love thinking of different ways to set up a scene and envisioning it my mind and then finding the right tools to make it happen. Maybe someday, when I feel like getting ANOTHER degree, I'll head off to film school!
HERE'S OUR MOVIE "ASS SEEN ON TV" THAT WE DID FOR THE 48 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL IN FEBRUARY!!!
WATCH IT NOW!!
Ass Seen On TV
Add to My Profile | More VideosGoing to the movies is fun, but I prefer to watch them at home. I can't be quiet for 2 hours...have to talk...not good for the theater! Plus I get super pissed if I spend two hours watching a crappy movie--I WANT MY TWO HOURS BACK!
I especially enjoy comedies--the stupider the better. Some of the stupidest/funniest i like are "Harold and Kumar go to Whitle Castle" and "Better Off Dead" and "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and the best of all times, "Friday"--oh and "Robin Hood-Men in Tights"--like I said...the stupider the better :).
I love MSNBC (Countdown w/Keith Olberman). I super love Forensic Files and Cold Case shows, but they seriously give me the heebie jeebies...so many weirdos in this world!! I also like Law and Order. Most of all I love anything FUNNY like Chappelle, SNL and stand up comedy.BEST COMMERCIAL EVER:
I love to read--it is seriously my favorite thing to do--there is nothing better! I could live in a library or a bookstore!
I have read most of John Grisham's, Maeve Binchy's and Amy Tan's books, but they are more of my "light" reading.
Some of my classic favorites are The Great Gatsby, Oepidus, Antigone, All The King's Men, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and Huckleberry Finn to name a few...the list is truly endless. I just read A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley and it was AMAZING!! I'm just starting to read the first Harry Potter...I know, I'm a bit behind...
I have a huge stash of books that I haven't even read yet and a list a mile long to read over the summer--I can't wait!!
GEORGE BUSH: DEFINITELY NOT A HERO....
My grandpa and my dad. They're amazing. My dad was in Vietnam when he was only 18 years old. My grandpa is amazing, too. First generation American. Didn't learn to speak English until he was 6 and went to Kindergarten. He is 89 and acts like he is 39!
My mom is also a real trooper--she has Leukemia and is facing an impending bone marrow transplant...scary stuff...
***UPDATE!! we are almost to day 100 post-transplant!! The 100 day is a huge milestone and she is doing fair to middling...she's had LOTS of setbacks the last few weeks, so please keep her in your thoughts...
Eleanor Roosevelt is also one of my heroes--she is truly inspiring.
