I have come to realize it's time for an update to my profile, so allow me to tell you a little about myself.My name is Kayleena (though my recent post-college identity is "KP" and I'll go by either) and I attend Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. It's a private liberal arts college (oh yes..I'm terribly elitist...NOT), where I am in my senior year. I don't really want to graduate, as I know too many lovely people here that I'm worried I'll lose contact with, but alas, I am called to a more metropolitan area, so post graduation I will probably come to inhabit either Portland or San Francisco.As a person, I consider myself adventurous, indepedent, incredibly loyal to friends, optimistically pessimistic, and realistically romantic. Those last two terms I believe need some clarification, so lets just say that even though I know every cloud has a silver lining I still don't see the bright side to most situations, and even though I believe in fairy tale endings I have the sense to know they probably won't come true.Let it be said that I am a dark being. This does not mean that I actually believe myself a vampire and I sleep in coffins at night (though I HAVE been sketching plans for a coffin-shaped bed suspended on chains from my ceiling...), I do enjoy wasting hours reading Poe and Byron, and I enjoy dressing in black, with a pention for black boots (I've counted, and so far I have nine pairs, of varying styles), tiered and ruffled skirts, corsets, and eyeliner.Let it be known that I am a creature of beauty -- as in, I enjoy being feminine, so I will wear heels, and I will wear make up. Does this mean I won't still go hiking or base-jumping or play in dirt? Certainly not, but I am artistic and thus spend a lot of time on my hair and outward appearance. If you're going to go for the "Goth" look, you can't do it half-assed (unless of course you're late for a class...in which you just have to grab your liquid eyeliner pen and say screw it). People that do not understand the artistic nature of cosmetics, the ability to achieve so many possibilities...well they have no reason to speak with me.
