ABOUT YOUNG TRUTH
No doubts come to mind when you hear the truth. The 17 year old phenom that hit the industry almost 4 years ago is creating a huge buzz in the business and in the streets. Starting at the age of 13, he quickly adapted to the entertainment business and learned alot of skills on and off the mic through his mentor and close friend Donwon(40 Cal. Recordz). Though Donwon always kept busy, this youngster quickly arose to the challenge and learned the rules of the game and started making moves on his own. Starting with nothing but a $10 mic and $40 recording program, Young Truth began recording his own music from his room to better his style and delivery to further exceed the on going talk about his abilities
Growing up with a single mom and as the only child, truth and his mom moved in with his grandparents at the age of 3. Being introduced to hip hop music by his uncle, truth quickly adapted to the words and sounds of hip hop music. By the age of 9, he was amazed by the fame of celebrities and the dreaming begun for the young hip hop star. At the age of 12 he was introduced to Donwon by one of his close friends and his journey as an emcee began.
Put on the shelf, Truth eagerly wanted a shot to record in a studio but had little or no money for time. He received recording equipment as gifts and started bettering his craft and skill. After months of hard work, truth landed a radio interview with Xradio.Biz in April 2006. Soon after that, the name started catching on.
In The Beginning of 2007, Truth became part of a promotional staff for an all ages club, Strawberry Sundays. He saw his oppurtunity with Dj Maverick of Interscope Records and handed his cd to him to play. Maverick played "What Da Bizness"(prod. B.Magic) and the crowd immediately caught onto the different sounds and lyrics of the song. Later that night, Truth came back to Maverick and received his card to work with him in the future. As months went by, truth began causing a stir in the streets and became a hit artist on myspace.
Through his self managing, he became one of the most talked about stars in the industry. Unsigned with a long way to go, Truth is still pushing towards his dreams with the support of his fans and family. Do we have much more to expect from this youngster now or in the future? Only time will tell...the sound of his name marks the beginning of the future.
