This space is intended to be away to share our knowledge of local trails with mountain bikers in the greater Houston area. We hope to grow and offer valuable info to anyone who is interested. The actual Southern Freeriders idea was conceived by my brother and myself back in 2004. We began seriously riding and found our place in the mountainbike world with the freeride/downhill crowd. After coming off great riding trips in New Mexico we began to wish for places to ride that were close to home, and offered the adventure we craived. "How can you mountain bike in Houston dude?" That was the question we were constantly being asked. Well my bro and I believe that if you explore hard enough you can find somthing that works. So we began setting out on long recon missions through our native town of Sugar Land in search of ridable terrain. Our search yeilded us a few good rides that have long single track, short, heavily rooted, and fast descents, wooden bridges that also serve as good (SOUTH)shore stunts, and urban obsticles that manage to keep us entertained. We also frequent the twisty, steep, and rutted back trails of Memorial Park. We hope to have images and details on all of our rides in the future so we can share them with you. So welcome to Southern Freeriders on Myspace, and thanx for stopping by.You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !
