Fun
IYAO believes that the Drum & Bugle Corps activity is the perfect vehicle for young adults, because it combines the best of athletics, music and the arts. These ingredients make it a great recipe for "FUN".
The members involved in our units have as much "FUN" performing as the audience has watching them perform. But don't be mistaken; our groups are very serious about being competitive and work many hours to ensure the quality of their performances.
Our unique combination of Excellence and Fun sets us apart from the rest and makes us IMPULSE!
The Birth
IYAO was born in the winter of 1998 made up of many dedicated Velvet Knights alumni who had helped out the previous season with the Westcoast Sound from Oceanside California.
IYAO was determined to aid in the proliferation of Drum & Bugle Corps and the pageantry arts youth activities in a region that contains several million young musicians and performers. Over the last 8 years.
