The Wartime SocialWilliam Matthew "Matt" Noveskey is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, guitarist, and bassist, best known for his work with the bands Blue October and (a+)machines.Early lifeNoveskey grew up in a very musical household in Northern Michigan. His uncle played bass guitar and sang in a touring rock band, his brother plays drums, and his grandparents played guitar, piano and accordion. Inspired by his uncle, Matt started playing bass at age five[1] and has been playing in bands since he was a teenager. His early musical influences were bassists James Jamerson and Larry Graham.Matt graduated from Saint Francis High School in Traverse City in 1994. He attended various Michigan colleges and bartended while playing weekend shows with a variety of local acts, including the popular Michigan band Switch. Acting on a tip from a booking agent friend, in late 1998 he relocated to Texas and auditioned for Blue October.Blue OctoberMatt joined Blue October in 1998 after the departure of the group’s original bassist, Liz Mullally. Noveskey played guitar, bass and sang backing vocals on Blue October’s 2000 major label debut Consent to Treatment. He also created the artwork for the album and along with Justin Furstenfeld, co-wrote the single "James" and the live fan-favorite "You Make Me Smile."Noveskey toured extensively with Blue October in support of Consent to Treatment. He stayed with the band even after they were dropped from Universal Records, but left due to health reasons at the end of the tour in late 2002. Blue October re-signed with Universal for the release of 2003’s History for Sale on which Noveskey contributed. Matt would eventually fully rejoin Blue October in 2005. During his absence, Blue October never played the Noveskey-penned "You Make Me Smile" during a concert. The song was included as the opening track on the band’s 2006 album Foiled and is now a live staple.During his absence from Blue October, Matt formed a second band with Blue October’s drum technican Alan Adams. The new band, (a+)machines, also includes Ryan Holley and Chris Lynch. Noveskey and Holley are the primary singers and lyricists in the band, which have recorded a 5-track EP and a live album. The group have been on hiatus while Noveskey and Adams tour with Blue October in support of Foiled. (a+)machines most recent show was June 16, 2007 in Austin.Other Music ProjectsWhile not touring and recording with his bands, Noveskey lends his services as a bassist and record producer to other recording artists. In January of 2008 he formed a production company called 116 with Producer/Engineer Chuck Alkazian. The duo works with some of the brightest upcoming talent in the music business today, mainly recording out of Detroit and Austin. Matt also tours as a solo artist, often sharing the stage with Justin Furstenfeld, Johnny Goudie, and longtime songwriting partner Ryan Holley. In November of 2007 Noveskey and Holley announced they are forming a new studio band with the intent of recording music for soundtracks and commercials. Matt is also a celebrity endorser of Warwick basses, amps and strings.DiscographyWith Blue October* Consent to Treatment (2000)

Chuck Alkazian caught the music bug at the age of
five.
Playing drums to all of his favorites, The Who, Kiss,
Queen, and all those funk records his brother would
leave out, he created the aggressive, yet tasteful
approach to making music the Midwest way.
Through the school years, Alkazian honed his musical skills by playing in a variety of groups. During
these years, the stage was set for his diverse
love of music. At the young age of thirteen, Chuck
became the infamous coffee runner at a local post production studio. This is where he learned that
paying your dues was imminent.
Catching a break right out of high school, Chuck
cut his teeth at Overture Music in Novi, Michigan
alongside producer Scott Santos. He worked with
clients from all over the world. This is where he
learned how to coordinate the creative process.
He mixed during the winters, and would attend summer music sessions at Berklee School of music in
Boston. Picking up incredible music and production
skills was the name of the game.
After four years of making music in Detroit, his talents landed him a spot as a First Engineer by world
famous Streeterville Studios in the music Mecca of
the Midwest, Chicago, IL.
Here he studied under some of the best engineers
in the business. He spent priceless days creating
with some of the most well known musical artists in the industry. Working on clients such as
the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and The Dave
Matthews Band would not be a stretch for a normal
week. This was the eclectic vibe of his next four
years. Hip hop, rock, blues, and many a commercial spot created quite a canvas for a rock musician
from the Midwest to work. Streeterville Studios
launched Chuck into a whole new dimension of making records.
After feeling a little home sick, Chuck decided to
make the move back to Detroit where he landed a
mixing position at another nationally famous studio,
Pearl Sound Studios. This studio was well known through
the eighties and nineties as the home to world
famous producer, Ben Grosse. Continuing off the
incredible vibe set by Ben, Chuck would utilize the
room to embrace clients from coast to coast. To
this day, Chuck still feels a bit of magic in that
room!
Chuck has since purchased Pearl Sound Studios with business partner, Patrick Harwood.
Now, Chuck has made the break to making records
as a freelance Producer..Engineer and continues to
work with the freshest and most diverse clients.
However, Chuck insists that there is one thing that
should never change, the importance of the creative and honest relationship between the artist and
the producer.
Matt and Chuck meet......."116"
And there you have it...............
