The music of Wesh is hard to get out of your head, and the men who make up Wesh want it that way. It is their craft -- they create music to remember, music that is infectious, music that is informed by the past, embraces the present and foresees the future. Elements of classical, reggae, and Latin permeate their pop creations, and all the while they are firmly grounded in the classic two guitar, bass, and drums rock band set up. Mark Wesh (vocals, drums), Mike Bridavsky (guitar, vocals), Jason Groth (guitar, vocals), and Pete Schreiner (bass, vocals) give each other room to make the most out of the musical space they create: Driving, solid pop, underneath layers of ethereal melodies, countermelodies, and harmony. Wesh are energetic, soulful, and relentless on their way to getting their music in your head to stay -- on their own terms.
Wesh, based in Bloomington, IN (home of the venerable Secretly Canadian Records and even John Mellencamp) have honed their skills in such notable bands as Magnolia Electric Co., The Impossible Shapes, Push-Pull, and The Coke Dares. They have backed up such masters as Jens Lekman and Daivd Berman (Silver Jews). Wesh is in the studio working on their first album, "You Were Here". Watch out for Wesh.Tour Dates: TBA
