Pastor Travis C Shockley

Pastor Travis C. Shockley is a leader who stands in the gap between two generations and one who holds on to both the passing generation and the emerging generation. In his own words he says “Turbulent times such as we live in are opportunities for wise leaders to accomplish Gods purposes. The cross currents within our culture that painfully resist everything Christ’s church is endeavoring to accomplish have given rise to many tensions. Tensions have also erupted because of traditional baggage that must be expelled lest we continue in a lesser state of spiritual fulfillment. Transitional times in church, culture, and global economics call for leaders who cross rivers and reach cities.”Pastor Shockley, affectionately called “Shock” by his peers, received his formal education from the Kansas City, Missouri public schools, graduating from Paseo High School in 1981. Post secondary education attendance includes DeVry Institute of Technology, and Platte College of Overland Park, Kansas and International Seminaries located in Plymouth, Florida. He is the husband of Lisa M. Shockley and the father of Ebony, LaToya, and Taliesha Shockley.God released Pastor Shockley from his secular service of employment at Proctor & Gamble (Folgers Coffee) in 1997 to full time ministry to aid his spiritual father, Dr. J. C. Haynes. He has been Pastor Haynes personal armor bearer and worked side by side with Dad Haynes. Pastor Shockley attributes his spiritual edification and impartation to Dr. J. C. Haynes, who he sat with almost daily to receive the wisdom of the ages.Pastor Shockley is an emotional and inspirational speaker who loves people and has a strong desire to see people develop their full potential in Christ. He relates to the young and old and is, as he calls himself, a “Man of the people.”On June 3, 2007, along with his wife Copastor Lisa Shockley, Pastor Travis Shockley founded the Greater Works Family Worship Center, where they are always expecting they greater.
