My name is Terri Rufus and I live in Huntington, WV. I'm an advocate for cancer survivors and ever since my son was diagnosed at age 17 I have been fighting to get more funding, research, and care from our government to help stop this horrible epidemic. I've been working with the Lance Armstrong Foundation for the last few years and was invited with them to DC to lobby congress, I've been holding fundraisers for Breast Cancer Awareness for the last 7 years and have raised tens of thousands of dollars, and I participated in the Rally For A Cure fundraising Marathon in San Deigo, but now I need your help!
The facts are simple but haunting, an unacceptable gaps exist between what we know and what we do to prevent, screen and treat cancer.
I have committed to the Lance Armstrong Foundation that I will obtain 10,000 signatures supporting the requirement that cancer should be a national priority. My goal is to submit these signatures to state and federal legislatures on May 13 - Livestrong Day.
As with so many other challenges, I NEED YOUR HELP...

If everyone could just get 10 people to sign this, then we'd really be off and running!
Someone once said, "One person can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Today is your turn. Change the world.
With love, respect, and deep appreciation for your continued support,
- Terri
