About Me

I am a 39 year old gal, married 24 years, with 4 children and one beautiful granddaughter (okay...maybe I need a drink!). I am a jane of all trades and master of ....a couple. I have just moved back to my childhood home town only to find that the reason that birds fly upside down over it, is because it's not worth shitting on. I guess that is a little harsh..it's not that bad, just not what I expected. The good is still out weighing the crap so we'll see how it goes. I love to sing, write, eat pasta at restaurants that have linen napkins and real plates, watch movies, antique and unique shop, hang out with friends and family and embarrass my children. So far it's going okay. I have just enrolled in College and I am feeling quite like a duck out of water. One day I would hope to be a writer or teach creative writing and spend my time coming up with witty commentaries and hang out with people who didn't listen to their mothers about their futures. Things that I miss from the last town I lived in...The Frisco bar and bud lights with Tammy, mullet night at Marquees, burrizzles (burritos for the layperson) from the convenience store, new episodes from Sex and the City, my skinny jeans, or rather my not as fat as these jeans, My office manager at my old job, smoothies from Kafe Klatshe, a MALL, the 3 story antique shop, Nottinghams, Lucinda and a host of other things that are making me sad. Things that I love about being here are hanging out with my aunts and my grandma, the scenery...it's very beautiful her this time of the year, mullet night at Bufford Bottom Bar and Grill, Grandpa Lons colorful sayings that his "pop" used to say, gambling with Mike, Jan, PJ, Donna and Jennifer, playing Texas hold 'em...and winning, my new house on Mt. Crumpit, my kids new friends (most of them), showing my family the things I loved about this town. I have recently become a new grandmother...if you know me at all, you know that all too well and probably have a ton of emails with her picture splattered all over them, she is an absolute joy and the love of my life!
