Afghan Rap & AFghan Hip-Hop
For all the fans of the two pioneers of Afghan Rap & Afghan Hip-Hop music. Ghazali Amer started off his musical hobby with absolutely no prior musical training. He bought his first musical instrument, a Yamaha keyboard, like most afghan singers mainly for just learning and playing at home. Slowly this hobby turned into passion and when Ghazali first leaned that he had a special skill and talent in music he had never learned of before he began focusing more of his time and energy cracking down the roots of "sa re ga ma pa" and "do re me fa so la se do". The fusion and connection of eastern and western sounds brought about the meeting with Farid GT. Farid was a freestyle rapper that with his voice and talent made him the bulls eye of the equation. Again Farid was also someone who had no previous music or rap experience, but he had a way with words. This talent made him learn how to rap in Farsi almost immediately. His writings are known to most people as being intensely emotional. Again the fusion of Afghan rap and afghan music was just another hobby of theirs to see what they can create. Very little did they know that after their first CD production on the year 2001 one of their songs "Bia Saqi" was going to be a number one 2001 hit and also played in the Ariana Televisions "Gul Barg ha" program. "Namekonom Arosi" was another smash hit repeatedly played on the afghan radio stations online and off. They also got recognized by famous singers such as Habib Qaderi and were offered to sing as guest singers in one of his concerts in California.
This breakthrough inspired many afghans who were in the Afghan rap & Afghan hip-hop culture to introduce their talents and their work into the afghan pop and hip-hop industry. A second CD was in the works (70% complete) mainly of original songs composed and arranged by themselves, but unfortunately due to certain circumstances they were unable to pursue their musical career.
