Johann Heyss

About Me

Musician/writer Johann Heyss delivers a blend of magickal atmospheres, surrealistic images, Oriental and Brazilian harmonies and rhythms, erotica and spirituality - all that filtered through electronic instruments and unique vocals. His first CD, Look Carefully, was released in Brazil and the US. To promote the CD, he performed in different places like New York (S.O.B.s and Baby Jupiter) in the U.S.A.; and Rio de Janeiro, Paran, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina in Brazil, throughout 1999. The Blue Sea, the second CD, was released in November 2003 by Heysss own conceptual label, Nuit, in association with Astronauta Discos and distributed by Tratore. The Blue Sea originated various remixes. In 2006, Heyss come up with PSYCHOSAMBA, the ultimate post-world electronica CD produced by Ze Luis (http://www.myspace.com/ze_luis). The album blooms from the meeting of two masterful minds: Johann's idiosyncrasies and Ze Luis's trunk of unmeasured expertise with pop, rock, classical, jazz, urban-electronica and Brazilian roots. Now Johann is working at a new album, the fourth. In MERCURIAL Johann teams up with producer/keyboard player Sintetik to deliver a raw, essential electronic frame for urgent lyrics sung mostly in Portuguese. Johann and Sintetik (http://www.myspace.com/sintetik) are also currently producing singer and actress Marilia Barbosa's (http://www.myspace.com/mariliabarbosa2007 ) first album. ............................................................ ............................................... ............................................................ ............................................... ............................................................ ............................................... ............................................................ ............................................... ............................................................ ............................................... ............................................................ ...............................................Buy Psychosamba at Itunes ..
