I'LL BE BACK AT SOME STAGE SO KEEP POSTED.)Benjamin Vlad is a music producer and audio professional based at Brisbane’s Yooniq studios (Newstead). Upon completing a Bachelor of Music Technology at The Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in 2007, Ben was awarded the Music Technology medal for finishing the degree with the highest overall GPA. During the course of his degree, Ben produced, engineered, mixed and mastered as well as playing guitar and ambient electronics for Francis’s debut release “Putting Sound into Pictures”. A short-lived side project named “The October Revolution” saw Ben co-produce/write (w/ Alex Bennett & Anthony Pink), as well as perform vocals, keys and drum programming on the track “Pretty Heart”.In his spare time, Ben teamed up with local singer/song writer, Chrissie Trabucco and classmate Alex Bennett to form “Kissy Trouble Company”. KTC’s EP was recorded during the summer of ‘06/07 in Ben’s west end lounge room/studio where he not only produced, recorded and mixed the album, but also performed and co-wrote the track “Sneaking in”. Since being released through indie label, Hand Clappin Records KTC has received national airplay on Triple J.More recently however, Ben has taken over the sound design and mix responsibilities for the locally produced, soon to be internationally aired, animated television series “FARMkids”. Since the completion of this project Ben is looking forward to creating and producing more music, playing more shows as well as meeting and working with more artists.
