Rebecca Lynn...Flooding the silence of the night,
The tones rang loud and clear,
Anxiety erupted,
I became engulfed with fear.He kissed my lips and said good-bye,
As he grabbed his gear and ran,
If he’d return I did not know,
The fate that night of my fireman.I clung to the shirt he left behind,
Held my cross against my chest,
I could not eat, I could not sleep,
For the fear in my heart ceased to rest.The heat evoked a firey hell,
That spilled out to the street,
The children cried out to the men,
As their bodies weakened from the heat.I stood below watching,
As my love did disappear,
I’ve never known such terror,
Such horror, or such fear.Every second felt like a day,
Every minute like a year,
No longer could I hold back,
My eyes began to swell with tears.From the very depths of that firey tomb,
A girl emerged clung tight,
In the arms of a brave fireman,
Her life he saved that night.

I LOVE ARMY WIVES and Law & Order SVU, CSI Miami, and Home Improvement...and that's really all I have time to watch.

Nora Roberts' Novels...Absolutely love 'em!!!

The men and women who risk thier lives everday to save the lives of others...Fire Fighters, Police Officers, and Soldiers.
