Rising international opera singer Lisa Lee Dark, is famous for being related to two of the most successful and famous women from the last 200 years; Adelina Patti (1843 – 1919) and Bette Davis (1908 – 1989). Lisa Lee is also becoming famous in her own right as an opera singer, in the last 18 months Lisa Lee has shifted over 50,000 records; her debut album, the limited edition album and her EP have managed to chart in the top 20 of the opera charts all over Europe. The debut album (Sola perduta abbandonata) – her debut international release – was also a minor hit in the US, after it reached No.25 on the independent classical import chart.
The success looks like it’s here to stay as Lisa Lee releases 3 more albums during September and October. On Monday 7th September Lisa Lee releases the album, ‘Unbroken angel’. This album contains her debut opera ‘live’ concert performances from 2008 and 2009. To begin with this is a free ‘give away’ album with certain magazines in Europe and America; later on it will be sold as a ‘lower’ priced album.
Monday 21st September sees another album released, ‘once the days of love have passed’, (Lorsque le temps d’amour a fui). This is a French album and all of the 14 songs on this album have appeared on dozens of European films during the last 3 years.
Then on Monday 26th October Lisa Lee releases the album, ‘Con onor muore (he dies with honour who cannot live with honour)’, this will be Lisa Lee’s second international album, the majority of the songs on this album are taken from the opera ‘Madama Butterfly’ by Puccini. This is the opera role that critics have said that Lisa Lee was born to sing, as she has given one of the greatest performances of Madama Butterfly.
Lisa Lee has also performed in two other Puccini operas (‘Turandot’ and ‘Sr. Angelica); and three Verdi operas (‘Rigoletto’, ‘Nabucco’ and 'Macbeth' - with Lisa Lee playing the part of Lady Macbeth.).
