About Me

..
Well lets see here...I'm a simple person who loves being social. I have the gift of gab as many tell me. I love hanging out with friends and family as much as possible. Looking for that special someone...I know she's out there. One who isn't into playing games, one who will support everything I do, of course hockey interest is a must...as it's a big part of my life. And lastly and most important, one who will be a terriffic role model for my lil angel! I've become addicted to working out and getting back into shape, this includes nutrition as well. I usually spend at least 6 days a week at the gym and have made some great progress! I just finished up another season coaching high school hockey with Lincolnway East. We just won our league championship after all odds were against us. We had a 6 game win streak to become league champs! Spring season to follow...I will be implementing an off-ice strength and conditioning program for the hockey team as I start my certification to be a personal trainer. So yes, I have much to keep me busy at the current moment. If there is anything specific you'd like to know about me, feel free to send me a shout, I'd love to hear from you!

My Interests

Hockey! Currently I'm a Level 4 Coach with USA Hockey. It's definately my passion to coach youth hockey. I've been coaching for 10 years at the high school/midget levels. As most coaches out there...its definately a passion, you have to love the sport and enjoy working with kids, because no one is making it rich coaching youth hockey. I've been involved with the following organizations in my coaching career; Wheaton Warrenville South HS, St Laurence HS, Orland Vikings Youth Club and most recently Lincolnway East HS Hockey organization. In addition, I am a current board member with the Chicago Catholic Hockey League (www.cchl.net).

I'd like to meet:

What type of hockey player are you?

Enforcer
You just don't care, you will punish your opponent untill they can not move. You have no problem throwing down the gloves. You will push a guy through the glass, you will shove him into the ice. Your only mission is to inflict as much pain on your enemy as possible.

Music:

This ones quite tough since there really isn't much that I dislike in music...I have a rather large and diverse music collection...enough of that tho. Among the latest; Anberlin, Kill Hannah, Shiny Toy Gyns, Lostprophets, Five.Bolt.Main, Flyleaf, Skillet, Adema, AFI, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Dropping Daylight, The Killers, Papa Roach...I could keep going! I do have a liking for dance as well, mostly progressive, trance and the early euro from the 90's...all of this stems from my previous history with the nightclub industry. There are a select few in the rap genre that I can handle...really tho I can listen to anything!

Movies:

Man this could be tough...there are so many movies out there that I have enjoyed, but I'll keep it simple...or at least try to...definately all hockey movies; Slapshot, Youngblood, Mystery Alaska and Miracle (ok, you can add the Mighty Duck movies in there...) As far as action goes definately Gladiator! And then there is always...U-571, Backdraft, all the "Friday" movies, I know there are other movies, but I'll add them later.

Television:

Not a huge TV person, but I do have my regular weekly/seasonal shows. For the most part I enjoy the drama shows on Fox and FX; "Rescue Me", "Prison Break", "The Shield" and "Greys Anatomy".

Books:

I have read so many books, most have been for self teaching. Most recently relating to fitness and nutrition...also quite a few books on coaching hockey, you can never learn too much!
